Aurak Racial Traits

Aurak draconians have the following racial traits:

  • Speed: Land speed 30 feet.
  • Dragon Traits: Low-light vision, darkvision 60ft., immunity to paralysis and magical sleep.
  • Natural Attacks: 2 claws (1d4 damage), 1 bite (1d4 damage, -5 to hit)
  • Low Metabolism (Ex): Only requires one-tenth the food and water of a human.
  • Immunity to Disease (Ex): Immune to all diseases.
  • Inspired by Dragons (Ex): +1 morale bonus on attacks and saving throws if being led by an evil dragon.
  • Death Throes (Su): When lowered to -10 hp, the aurak explodes in a burst of magical energy that causes 3d6 damage to all within a 5-foot radius. Reflex save (DC 14 + Cha modifier) for half.
  • Automatic Languages: Common, Draconic.
  • Favored Class: Aurak (sorcerer).

Class skills: Concentration (Con), Diplomacy (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (arcana) (Int), Listen (Wis), Search (Int), Spellcraft (Int), and Spot (Wis).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Auraks are proficient with all simple weapons, but not with armor or shields.

Class Features

Spells: The aurak draconian gains the ability to cast spells as a sorcerer of a level equal to its Hit Dice from the aurak monster class.

Energy Rays (Su): Auraks have the ability to generate rays of force energy from each of their hands. Each ray has a 60-foot range and the aurak must make a ranged touch attack to hit. The ray deals damage equal to 1d2 + the aurak's Charisma modifier. (The ray's damage increases as shown above, eventually becoming 1d8 + Charisma modifier.) When using its disguise self ability, an aurak appears to be using a weapon appropriate to its form when it uses this ability.

Alternate Form (Su): At 1st level, an aurak gains the ability to assume the form of one other small or medium humanoid as per the polymorph spell. This ability lasts until the aurak cancels it and may be used once per day. At 3rd level the aurak gains two additional humanoid forms and at 5th level the aurak can assume any small or medium humanoid form. At 7th level, they can use their alternate form up to 3/day. Caster level is equal to the aurak's sorcerer level from Hit Dice.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At 2nd level, an aurak gains the ability to use the following spell-like abilities, each 1/day: suggestion, invisibility, and change self. (Duration 2d6+6 minutes.) At 6th level the aurak can use each of these abilities 3/day. At 10th level, the invisibility spell-like ability becomes greater invisibility and suggestion is usable at will. Caster level is equal to the aurak's sorcerer level from Hit Dice. Saving throw DCs are 10 + spell level + the aurak's Charisma modifier.

Dimensional Step (Sp): At 5th level, an aurak gains the ability to dimensional step once per day. At 8th level the aurak can dimensional step 3/day. This is treated as a self-only dimension door with a range of 60 feet. Caster level is equal to the aurak's sorcerer level from Hit Dice.

Breath Weapon (Su): An aurak has the ability to expel a cone of noxious gas in a 5-foot cone. Everyone caught in the gas who fails their Fortitude save (DC 14 + Charisma modifier) takes 1d4 points of temporary Strength damage, and is blinded for 1d4 rounds. Auraks can use this ability once per day at 7th level and 3/day once they reach 11th level.

Spell Resistance (Ex): At 9th level, auraks gain spell resistance equal to 8 + total class levels.

Dominate Person (Sp): At 12th level, an aurak gains the ability to use dominate person once per day (Will DC 15 + Charisma modifier). Caster level is equal to the aurak's sorcerer level from Hit Dice.
