ShriekD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Clive SquireShriekEvocation [Sonic] Level: Sor/Wiz 1 Your yell takes on a shrill, high-pitched quality as your magic amplifies it into a scream, deafening those around you and shattering glass. All creatures within the area of a shriek that can hear it are immediately knocked prone and must make a Fortitude saving throw. A creature that fails the save against the shriek is deafened for 1d4 rounds. Creatures that succeed the saving throw are stunned for 1 round instead of being deafened. A shriek deals 1d4 points of sonic damage to all crystalline objects and creatures within its area per caster level (to a maximum of 5d4 points of damage), a successful saving throw reduces the damage by half.
