Blind Insight - Character TraitD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Weldon ChenBlind InsightIn becoming blind, one sees not with the eyes but with the heart. You have become blind under great trials. But through those trials, you have gained great insight and wisdom into the human soul. Benefit: You gain +2 Wisdom. Drawback: You are blind. See the Player's Handbook for information on blinded characters, including penalties to AC and attack as well as an attacker's bonus to attack as if invisible. Also see the Blind-Fight feat. Special: if you later gain sight, you lose the benefit of this trait. Role-Playing Ideas: The greatest example of this character trait is Crysania, who discovered her own spiritual blindness in the depths of the Abyss. Although she came out scarred by her experience, that trial has made her more sympathetic and empathic to those around her, and well as being able to "see" her deity's closeness to her.
