BrittlebladeD&D 3e (3.0/3.5) Rulesby Clive SquireBrittlebladeTransmutation The power of magic surges from you and into the weapon causing it to become brittle. You cause the target weapon to become ineffective for the spells duration. The targeted weapon's damage is treated as if that weapon were sized for a creature one category smaller and the weapon's hardness and hit points are as if the weapon were made from a weaker material. Weapons made from adamantine are treated as being made from mithril, mithril weapons are treated as being made from iron or steel, iron or steel weapons are as if made from stone and so on (see Chapter 9 in the Player's Handbook for more information on object hardness and hit points).
