Physical Description:

Standing just less than four feet tall, Kiizan is in many ways a typical Theiwar dwarf. Like many of his kin, Kiizan is an albino, his skin extremely fair and sensitive to light. His slight frame belies his dwarven heritage and he is often mistaken for a kender – until one gets close enough to discern his features.

Due to inbreeding, many Theiwar are born with various deformities and Kiizan is no exception. He has no nose, a small hole a glaring reminder that he is what many would consider a freak, someone to be pitied. That is, if he wasn't one of the much hated Theiwar.

Wanted by none and hunted by all, Kiizan prefers to dress in nondescript garb so as to not attract unwanted attention. He wears a simple traveler's outfit consisting of a pair of brown trousers, a dark gray tabard, a pair of sturdy boots, leather gloves, and a warm hooded cloak, the hood of which almost always covers his face, enveloping his features in welcome shadow.

On a steel chain around his neck hangs his most valued treasure – his medallion of faith. The symbol of Mesalax reminds him of the second chance he's been given and of his role in the world. It is a sanctuary from the world around him, a source of comfort he often needs. However, Kiizan is not a fool and he knows full well the implications of making his beliefs known to others. As such, Kiizan has his medallion of faith hidden under his tabard, only revealing it when he knows that he's alone.

Personality

Kiizan is a dwarf haunted by his past. Like all Theiwar, Kiizan was raised with violence, backstabbing, and cruelty. He didn't know love and compassion but instead was fueled by a desire for personal power and this desire drove him to commit unspeakable crimes. Dozens have fallen victim to his schemes and even if he didn't swing the knife himself (on some occasions), Kiizan has much blood on his hands.

The Theiwar outcast is determined to redeem himself in the eyes of his goddess and through this determination, he has learned about compassion for others. He will gladly help those in need, utilizing his paladin abilities or whatever else is needed and often vanishing before thanks can be given.

Kiizan knows that his kin see him as a traitor and will kill him on sight. He also knows that humans, elves, and other dwarves are just as likely to want him dead or at least demand justice for alleged crimes. Being a Theiwar dwarf, Kiizan is an easy scapegoat. As such, he takes great care not to attract unwanted attention and this has forced him to travel the countryside, never settling down for long. He knows this is a price he has to pay, however, and he has come to accept it.

Violence is in Kiizan's blood and he knows it. He also knows that this is contrary to what his goddess stands for but he believes that if he can put it to good use, defending the weak and fighting against those who would harm others, Mesalax will understand. So far, it seems that he is right but he fears that at some point, he will cross the fine line.
