Black Rose is a dark rose that grows on Krynn and is associated with evil. It is the ancient symbol of guilt used in the Knights Trials of the Knights of Solamnia. Loren Soth is called a Knight of the Black Rose due to him receiving a condemning black rose at his Knights Trial.

Red Rose is a bright rose that grows all over Krynn with a prickly stem and grows in the summer. The Flower is usually associated with either love of the Knights of the Rose. When a Solamnic Knight is killed, reguardless of which order he belongs to, he is usually buried with rose all around him.
