Orin Dark-Seer (? - 2132 PC) was a Dwarf short in stature but large in courage. A renowned fighter, he was known throughout Fredericksborough for his skill with an axe. His most prized possession was Splithair, which he touched with a loving hand whenever possible.

His true talent however lay in traversing the Deepdark beneath the mountains. Never having lost his way, many a dungeoneer owe their lives to him.

The Dragon

Orin was one of four dragonslayers summoned to the Bitter Ale Inn in Fredericksborough by Gondar, Seneschal of King Frederick, to slay a Red Dragon. The red dragon had taken the ransom that was to be used to secure King Frederick's freedom from his dark brother, the Duke of Northampton. Orin agreed, feeling that the red dragon in question was also the same dragon that had stolen his clans' treasure.

Orin met his fate beneath The Black Mountain, home to the dragon. After locating the dragons' lair, Gondar revealed his true form that of the Red Dragon. Orin managed to get a few hits in before being tossed into a pool of lava. He would become one with a mountain which was a fitting end to a dwarf if there was one.
