Gwynned II

Gwynned II (ca. 280 PC) was the Emperor of Ergoth, at the time when Istar installed the first Kingpriest as the head of their nation. The Gwynned line took over the rule of Ergoth with the fall of the Lekaer line several decades earlier. It was not the new Kingpriest which bothered the emperor and his people, but rather Istar's proclamation that they were the moral center of the world. Emperor Gwynned II issued his own decree that no one realm could be the moral compass of the world, as that lay in the celestial realm with the gods, not with any man. In outrage, Gwynned II ordered that all ties be severed with Istar altogether, even though neighbouring Solamnia lent it's full support to the holy nation.
