Though they appear like a regular shadow, shadow demons are far more deadly than those base undead. A shadow demon is the essence of a Demon trapped in the form of a shadow, to comprise an angry and volatile demon. The few shadow demons known to exist primarily serve Chemosh as his knights in the Abyss, and on rare occasions he will send one out into the physical realm.

The incorporeal demons use their claws and fangs to attack, but are also gifted with spellcasting abilities and a malevolent and intelligent mind.
