Knight's High Road

Knight's High Road is a major highway in Solamnia that begins from the Palanthas Central Plaza, runs through the city of Yarus, cuts through the Vingaard Mountains, by the High Clerist's Tower, and onto the Plains of Solamnia leading to the ruins of Vingaard Keep. The road is considered one of the eight major avenues through Palanthas. While on the plains, the Gold River is located north of it, paralleling it. During really harsh winters, the road may get snowed over, allowing no movement on it for several days.

History of the Road

The Knight's High Road was ordered constructed by Vinas Solamnus over the only existing trail into the city of Palanthas through the Vingaard Mountains. This would not only allow his Knights easier movement, but the people of the area to get to Palanthas to conduct trade. Before this road was built, it would take people days to reach Palanthas, and the only other way to reach the city was by ship through the Bay of Banchala.
