Vingaard River

Article written by Kranar Drogin

The Vingaard River is the longest flowing river on all of the continent of Ansalon, and it is known to be very rock and shallow in some places. The river begins in the Vingaard Mountains and flows east by north until it reachest the Kalaman Bay near the city of Kalaman. Many other rivers flow into the Vingaard, including the Silver River, Gold River, Fang River, Salarain River, Kayolin River, and the Watching River.

Before the Cataclysm, the Vingaard River was known to have very dark waters, even during the day. The flooding season during that time was always during the spring.

Following the Cataclysm, the autumn season is the time of the year that the river would flood, bringing new nutrients to the ground on the Plains of Solamnia. In some places the flooding got so bad for the people living near it that they built flood walls in order to keep the river back from their communities.
