AC (Alt Cataclius)Article written by Weldon ChenAstinus of Palanthas, in his Iconochronos, divides history into two parts: PC (Prae Cataclius, or "before the Cataclysm") and AC (Alt Cataclius, or "after the Cataclysm"). AC denotes the dates that have been numbered forwards from the Zero Hour of the Cataclysm. Exact dating in the PC period is difficult, whereas AC history is documented with great reliability. There is no year called 0 AC. All dates appearing after the Zero Hour of the Cataclysm happen in 1 AC. For example, an event held one month after the destruction of Istar is listed as one month into the year 1 AC. This dating system has been used by Bertrem of Palanthas and the Aesthetics of the Library of Palanthas, even after the Chaos War. References
