Pillar at Malad-ThoorArticle written by UzielThe Pillar at Malad-Thoor is a monstrous large pillar of marble, that stands almost 1500 feet in height, and is a relic dating back well before the Great Destruction to the height of the Aurim Empire. The upper reaches of the pillar have broken away and have left broken chunks of marble on the ground surrounding that pillar. Glyphs have been carved into the pillar, which stretch over 200 feet in diameter, and are placed on the pillar every fifty feet. A series of steps encircles the pillar, narrowing inwards every 500 feet. The Pillar at Malad-Thoor is located southwards of the Great Escarpment and the Panak Desert, in the central northern stretch of the Ring Mountains. The most commonly held belief is that the Pillar is a magnificent tomb of a former emperor of the Aurim Empire, housing some great treasure around or beneath it. Another rumor is that the Pillar was in truth the spear of Qu'uan the Warrior, who cast down his weapon on the world during the All-Saints War. References
