Foremen

The Foremen are part of the government of the Spire Mountains, and one of the groups that serve a High Judge of one of the citadels of the Gnomes. The Foremen oversee the workings of the factories and shop floors throughout the citadels.

At the lowest level are the foremen, the gnomes who oversees the general work done by the laborers in the factories. Above the foremen are the Masters of the Science, gnomes who are the specialised master of one particular field. There can be only one Master for each of the technologies of the gnomes. Each of the Masters has a seat on the Council of Trade, which in itself is governed by a Grandmaster.

The Foremen have the ability to settle any labor dispute, and manage production and resources for the coming year. More importantly, the Foremen are in charge of the maintenance of each citadel, and provide recommendations to the High Judge on improvements that can be made. Every Master is held accountable to the High Judge, and is expected to report on any construction, charging as appropriate for any work undertaken.
